The colon is a very important organ because it is necessary for the proper and timely elimination of waste. Most people only realize the importance of this organ when it does not work properly. A person who does not have regular bowel movements experiences a lot of discomfort and the toxicity levels in his or her body build up due to improper elimination of waste. The colon is also home to a lot of parasites that take up residence there in order to feed off the fecal matter that is present there.

People who do not take adequate steps to get rid of fecal parasites are putting themselves at risk for a lot of health problems. These parasites can cause inflammation of the tissues and can also result in allergies. In extreme cases, they can also cause cysts in the brain with fatal consequences.

A colon cleansing diet is a good way to get rid of these parasites, especially if one does not want to take medications for some reason. There are special herbs that one can take along with the fruits and vegetables that comprise the cleansing diet. These include garlic and ginger which are effective against parasites. Tomatoes should be eaten on an empty stomach in sufficient quantities in order to get rid of worms. Pineapple and papaya are also very effective against them. A few drops of black walnut oil mixed with water are also believed to be very effective against these parasites.

You have to do a colon cleanse regularly because this is the only way to ensure that new parasites as well as ones that are newly hatched are removed from your body. You will feel much more energetic after these intestinal parasites are removed from your body because these worms usually steal a lot of your nutrition away.
