The Lucid Dream – A New Understanding

The subject of the lucid dream is extremely popular in nature and numerous individuals are bent on inducing it in their lives. The sole reason for this is because, if one is aware of the fact that he is dreaming and moreover has full dream control where he can do, see or experience whatever he wants to, then the experience is one of a lifetime. Again, the person is also aware that he can never come to any harm after waking up, making the entire process highly exciting and addictive.

DILD and WILD are the two forms of lucid dreaming. DILD stands for Dreams initiated Lucid dreaming which in simpler words means that the dream occurs first and then the individual suddenly becomes aware that he/she is dreaming. Needless to say that this is fairly common and does not involve full dream control.

A dream which you are aware of, and possess the knowledge that it is a dream and not a reality, is known to be the lucid dream. Hence, a lucid dreamer’s ability lies in letting his body sleep while keeping his mind wakeful and focused.

In case of wake Initiated Lucid Dreams (WILD) on the other hand, the lucid dream condition is achieved in a completely conscious and wakeful state of mind. In this case, the body falls asleep while the mind is wakeful and focused while traversing to the realms of dreams. WILD is often accompanied by intense feelings of vibrations, loud noises, tingling sensations and the like.

The lucid dream can be induced in various ways. It has to be remembered that whichever technique you use, you need to be able to master the art of dream recall if you want to remember the experience anyway. Maintaining a journal to record the lucid dream or having an audio recorder at hand are good ideas towards the same.

The lucid dream can also be induced with the help of technology like that of the binaural beats. Binaural beats consists of sounding two different sound waves in the two ears of a person which goes to the brain and synchronize in order to create a mental state that is conducive to lucid dreaming.

The lucid dream can also be attained with the help of the MILD technique. This involves affirming your sub conscious about noting a particular object in your dreams. In this way when you actually come across that object, your sub conscious will aware you and you thereby will have the knowledge that you are dreaming.

The border between wakefulness and sleep is known as the hepnagogic stage. In case of the lucid dreams, this stage is crucial since you need to keep your mind focused while your body falls asleep. Some techniques to successfully accomplish this are chanting, counting your breaths, imagining yourself going down a flight of stairs and counting the stairs thereof, etc. for the most wonderful experience called the lucid dream.

Finding help for your Anxiety Disorder

Getting good anxiety attack help is as easy as consulting your medical professional and taking their advice. It can also be complex, however, as some of that advice may require serious lifestyle changes and a difference in the choices you make in your daily life. There are several types of anxiety attack help that may be prescribed from group therapy to medication to color therapy to hypnosis. Any number or combination of a number of things can help anxiety attacks from taking over your life.

A panic attack is a sudden rush of physical and mental discomfort or trauma caused by unknown or known sources. Panic attacks can begin, in more advanced conditions, with a simple debating conversation to as insignificant as traffic or parking problems. Generally, there are a series of symptoms that are experienced that typically signal the onslaught of an anxiety or panic attack. The symptoms can include anything from sweating profusely to having extreme heart palpitations. Asking for help, for many people, is a difficult thing to do, since we’re all conditioned to expect to be in control of our lives.

Is there a pattern to your attacks?

Although panic attacks may seem to be random to some, there are actually a great number of factors and biochemical processes that occur during a panic attack that make it anything but chaotic at the outset. The human body actually reacts in a set number of stages, all of which help prepare the body and train it how to react. So, it stands to reason that if your body is trained to react poorly through a number of factors the likelihood that you will experience a panic attack is significantly greater than a healthier person.

For example, the likelihood of a generally out of shape individual with poor time management skills and poor stress management skills of experiencing a panic attack in a stressful situation is significantly higher than that of a well adjusted person that is confident with their time and stress management skills. This is because their bodies are trained to handle the situations while conversely the body types that are not will inevitably react poorly.

Get Help

Getting anxiety attack help can, therefore, be as simple as eating properly and taking good care of yourself.  Maintaining a good healthy diet and avoiding the obvious sugars and salt can have an almost immediate effect.  Regular exercise is also integral to this goal, as well as regular rest and relaxation. Engage in relaxing, non-competitive and relaxing pastimes like gardening or woodworking.   Most of all, it is critical to recognize that an Anxiety Disorder can be effectively dealt with, once the determination to do so exists.
